The brand has brought so many innovations to the hair world. It’s now practically impossible to walk into a quality salon and not see someone using one of the Olaplex products. So I thought it would be useful to break down my personal experience of Olaplex and maybe help you to work out which one of the Olaplex products you need in your life!
Now, where do we start. Well for me it’s with the first Olaplex product that I ever used.
Olaplex Hair Perfector (No 3) The global bestseller. If you are looking to pick one hair product to treat yourself or someone else. (Mother’s Day hint) Then without a doubt I would choose Olaplex 3.
Olaplex 3 Hair Perfector is an at-home hair treatment that not only reduces breakage but visibly strengthens hair and it is used by people all around the world.
Olaplex Hair Perfector (No3) isn’t a conditioner or a replacement for a conditioner its a perfector! Olaplex 3 will restore your hair's healthy appearance and texture by repairing damage and protecting hair structure. My hair's overall look and feel definitely improves after using Olaplex Hair Perfector.
How I Use Olaplex Hair Perfector (No 3)
I apply Olaplex 3 BEFORE washing my hair. Basically, I get in the bath, dampen my hair put on number 3 then leave it while I soak. It’s recommended to put it on from root to tip and to leave on for at least ten minutes. I tend to leave it on for longer as I’m always chilling with a face mask and glass of wine, so time soon flies! (Ive even been known to leave it on overnight, just washing it off in my morning shower).
Once your ready to finish your bath, rinse No3 from your hair, then shampoo & condition as normal.
When to use Olaplex Hair Perfector No3
Its recommended to use No 3 once per week or twice per week for damaged hair. I use it once once per week and this is enough for me.
I began using Olaplex 3 Hair Perfector in early 2019 and it’s still a firm favourite. (its always on my shelf). One bottle of Olaplex Hair Perfector lasts me for months. You only need a small amount and if you color or bleach your hair. It really is essential,it helps to strengthens and rebuild the bonds in your hair, we all know how damaging bleaching can be!
To fully enjoy your Olaplex 3 treatment. I highly recommend grabbing a glass of wine, closing the bathroom door, locking out the kids/husbands/pets, putting on a face mask and making it a little treat night for yourself.
